We are looking for an exceptional candidate to fill the role of Director for our US business, leading some of our most important client relationships, driving business development, managing a rapidly growing team, and helping companies do business in a more sustainable way.


Job Description

The Director will work with the senior leadership team of the US business and report directly to the US Country Director .

Key responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Helping shape and implement a new business plan for the US, building on the platform that has been created over the last few years. There will be a specific focus on growing our client footprint in new sectors and leveraging opportunities that exist within the current CC portfolio.
  • Demonstrating a passion and expertise for transforming how companies do business in a more sustainable and responsible way.


Team Leadership

  •        Inspiring and motivating the US team, demonstrating a clear passion for Corporate Citizenship’s charter.
  •        Ensuring direct reports have clear and motivating career progression.
  •        Managing client teams effectively, supporting project managers and personally leading large accounts.


Client Management

  • Ensuring client teams are effectively managed with growth plans in place.
  • Leading on client relationships for key accounts, acting as a critical and trusted friend for our project sponsors.
  • Ensuring client projects are profitable and performance is to budget.
  • Ensuring that regular key client management reviews are carried out.


Business Development

  • Developing new contacts and leading pitches to win new business and build relevant relationships.
  • Managing the business development process, including responding to RFPs, preparing project budgets, and finalizing contracts.
  • Cultivating key client relationships of her/his own and giving day-to-day strategic advice across all service lines.
  • Leading and attending networking events and speaking at key events.
  • Developing thought leadership and content, exploiting social media opportunities.

Terms and location of the appointment

The competitive reward package will be tailored but will include performance related incentives. The successful candidate would ideally be based in San Francisco or New York.
